We offer amazing adventures in Southern & East Africa!  Have a browse below at countries or a combination of countries to explore.

Table Mountain Cape Town

Often described as “a world in one country” South Africa indeed boasts more than its fair share of the finer things to be found on this planet. Its natural assets lend itself both to classic ‘big five’ safari and to either breath-taking, remote coastal experiences or an evolved, cool beach scene.

Historically, its exceptional climate and stunning topography led to the development of graceful winelands as well as one of the most beautiful urban settings to be found in the world. A sophisticated hospitality scene is centred around globally renowned cuisine, wine and culture. For first-timers to Africa, South Africa is an obvious choice for many good reasons - whether looking for a destination that’s great for families or one that offers a cool, urbane sophistication – it truly offers something for everyone.

Desert road in Namibia

How wide do you like your horizons? And how open do you like the road ahead?... Namibia is a landscape of striking contrasts: dramatic coastlines; shifting deserts; majestic canyons; lush, river-fed plains; rugged mountains; and adrenalin-busting ocean waters. But for all its awe-inspiring natural splendor, Namibia also conveys a compelling human tale: the extant Himba and San tribespeople offer insight to their noble, ancient wisdom; the plentiful shipwrecks which frame the Skeleton Coast speak of lives lost to risk and adventure in bygone days; whilst the uncomfortable history of colonial settlement and oppression is told through the architecture and museums of the towns and cities.

In spite of the apparent desolation of some of its landscapes, wildlife has evolved to survive the harsh, arid climate, with desert-adapted elephant, lion and black rhino inspiring highlights to observe. Often described as ‘other-worldly’, Namibia is a place for adventure; a place to relish the freedom of the wind in your hair, the sun on your back; and to embrace the journey…

Okovango Delta by Mokoro dugout canoe

Botswana is undoubtedly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations, with the Okavango Delta an undisputed highlight. Landlocked, it is a country of diverse and mesmerising landscapes - from the watery byways of the Delta, to the semi-arid expanses of the Makgadikgadi saltpans, to the sandveld of the Kalahari, (often called ‘thirstland’ to distinguish it from true desert). Botswana is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world with just over 2 million people in a country the size of Texas.

Huge areas are protected as National Parks or Game Reserves and it enjoys a rich variety of wildlife including many species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Botswana is one of the oldest continuous democracies in Africa and it is known to be safe and welcoming.

Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe is the stuff of historic travelling legend, typifying the romance of Africa. However it is by no means limited to its iconic highlights of Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park and Mana Pools but is a country with an enormously varied offering. Topographically it ranges from big fossilised forests, mountain highlands, savannah plains to some of the most dramatic waterways in the world.

It has correspondingly diverse and sophisticated guest appeal - from high octane adventure such as white water rafting or bungee jumping over the Falls; to more sedate and refined experiences such as Art or Steam Train Safaris. Eclipsing all these, of course, are the rich and authentic wildlife opportunities, both land and water based, benefitting from the large animal populations which roam the incredible wilderness Zimbabwe has to offer.

Ballooning Serengeti

Popular conceptions of what constitutes ‘quintessential Africa’ are arguably inspired and informed by some of the highlights of Tanzania – iconic and powerful as they are. The vast Serengeti, with the phenomenon of the annual migration of the wildebeest; the Ngorongoro crater, the largest caldera in the world; and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro – have all long been enormous drawcards to Africa. However, the country also boasts less celebrated areas with equally rich ecosystems and dense wildlife… and fewer guests. The lesser-known parks and reserves in south of the country offer a more remote safari experience; and the diverse range of wildlife encounters extends to the best chimp viewing in Africa in the west of the country. Finally, the turquoise seas of the Indian Ocean beckon for some incredible marine experiences, notably from some of the islands, famed for their beauty, coral reefs and rich sea-life.

Masai Kenya Sunset

Many a traveller’s heart has been lost to Kenya. A popular first-time safari destination, Kenya evokes the power and romance of travel with unpretentious ease, and really enters the soul. It offers magnificent landscapes – from the vast captivating beauty of the Masai Mara, to the undulating, scenic country of the central highlands, to the white beaches of the Indian Ocean. Known for its plentiful game (including the world-famous wildebeest migration), proud cultural traditions, and exceptional hospitality well-tailored for young and old alike – it’s easy to see why Kenya manifests such timeless sway. No one conveyed the lasting, evocative hold of Kenya better than Isak Dinesen: “If I know a song of Africa, of the giraffe and the African new moon lying on her back, of the plows in the fields and the sweaty faces of the coffee pickers, does Africa know a song of me?”.
